I have one very similar to that on my 84 200ES right now... But you can get them a lot cheaper.

I bought my first one from him, then i found some more for $9 each on ebay and bought a few spares. They work great! I did a full writeup on swapping in this CDI on here a little while back when my 84 200ES starting having ignition problems. I haven't had an issue yet since putting on that cheap CDI.

Same unit with a new rubber mount for much less...

Thanks for the advice and link kb0nly I went with the second link you posted Ima see what it does for me. I think I ruined my original cdi when I put the coil off my 250es on my 185s. I know stupid but we had a big ride here and my plug cap broke off the coil the night before the ride.

Hmm swapping the coil shouldn't have ruined it unless you hooked it up wrong somehow, but even then it shouldn't have because the output of the CDI is grounded by the kill switch to shut her off so its not like a short would kill it.

Well I dont know. All I know is I switched them, and before the output wire from the cdi was getting voltage to the coil, and now there is no voltage going to the coil from cdi. And I traced the voltage from the stator coil with my meter, and the voltage stops, going into the cdi.
