Well after seeing the price on some of the late 80's quads I've decided either to buy a new or couple year old warrior. I got a lead on a 2001 for $2500. Its got a couple things wrong with it but beats the $4750 out the door price i just got quoted for a new one. What are your opinions on this quad?

My wife has a 1999 and she loves it. I have rode it quite a bit & it is a decent all around quad. Not the fastest quad ever but over all it is not to bad.

I have a 92 warrior and it has been a pretty good quad. Around here in the Alabama it seems you can pick them up cheap, just don't hold there value to well. They have been around since 1988(I think) and parts have been easy to find for it. Decent power and not to bad of a suspension, I think you could do worse.

I think it is a good quad. I have rode with many of them. If you ride dirt and trails I think you will be very pleased with it. If you ride sand I think you will always want a little more power.

Yeah, they make an awesome woods machine, along with that 6 speed tranny, the top speed stock is about 60-65. The front ends are a little heavier then most quads which make them ideal for hillclimbing. Since the warriors have been around for a while, there is quite a bit of aftermarket stuff available for them. The only thing I dont like is that they are air cooled, but from what I hear, they are pretty reliable.
