Got my 84 200x running good, starts real easy so make me think compression is good. Motor prolly hasn't been started in years. Now it is blowing oil out of the exhaust, pretty much has me stumped. Valve seals or valve adjustment. Any suggestions. Thx.

Might be valve seals but either way the top end needs to come apart so you can inspect the top end for issues as well , piston , rings exc ......

My crystal ball tells me that you have rings and valve seals in your future ;)

 Thought i was the only one! Mine shoots oil out the tailpipe like there's no tomorrow! Go though 1 litre a ride. Doesn't bother me though. Just my friends. The only problem is that when i look behind me its a wall of smoke. Leaving mine to rebuild as a winter project though.

I got the motor off eBay for 66 bucks 150 total with shipping, the trike came with a motor and rebuild kit minus piston. So I reckon I'll get the old motor rebuilt and put it in after I ride the oil puker for a while. It blows me away though that it would be rings bad with it starting so easy. But I've never been inside a motor to much to see how the rings work. Thanks to all who responded. I feel your pain threewheelerfan1991

My 185s did that when I fist got it. A set of rings fixed it. It's usually just a stuck oil control ring (the wavy one) when it runs good but spews oil.
