I bought my 200ES for a good price, but needed the axle welded and new bearings. I drive in muddy conditions more than the avg. Joe.

I heard of people re-greasing the bearing seals to get more life out of them. Since the axle is welded, this is the last bearings for this rear-end. I'm just wondering how much the seals should be re-greased to prolong their life.

I have a spare rear-end, but I'll rather get everything I can out of the one I have now.

Thanks.

I'm a bit confused as what you mean by greasing the seals??? if you want to get grease to the bearings use a grease needle, stick it right through the seal and grease away. You don't really have anything to lose if the axle is welded in.

I use waterproof green grease between the bearing and the seal, if that is what your talking about. It helps keep the water out of the bearings.
It will keep a lot of the water out, but not all.
