During my last trip riding up north, which was 2 or 3 years ago, the stator went bad. So i took it to a local mechanic and he put a new one in. Since then it will not run. When you kick it, it only gets one larger than normal spark, and it is delayed by a second or 2. Bought an allegedly working cdi and ignition coil on ebay but that did not fix the problem. I also went to a local cycle yard and plug and played with a few more cdis and ignition coils, so i do not believe either of them to be the problem but they may be. I try resistance testing all the parts and they all come out with in specs except i can not seem to get good readings from the cdi. If any one lives around Macomb County in Michigan with a 1985 honda atc 250r it would be cool if i could plug my cdi and coil to see if they are actually in working condition. I have also checked all the grounds and replaced the spark plug boot.
