Has anybody ridden both? I am thinking about buying one or the other. Any input is appreciated. Also I really dont need the racks but the kind of riding i will be doing is 4x4. Has anyone threw a leg over an arctic cat 450 4x4 sport? That would be ideal for me. This is hard for me because I am a true Honda man. Rincon just does not stack up to the yamahama or can am.

I have the 700 with power steering great machine if your goin to put bigger wheels an tires might want put a clutch kit in it. I wouldn't trade it unless they come out with a v twin

I really dont think i would put bigger tires and wheels on it. Im really leaning towards test riding a renegade 500. I dont need racks, i have a big red for that. Anybody have a can am 500 renegade?

You should definately try out a renegade, I rode one and loved it. If I ever sell my grizzly it will definately be to get a renegade.

I am going to my buddys shop today to dismount some tires and ride his can am 800. I really will not need the 800 and i cannot justify paying that much for one. There are a couple 500's on ebay with barely any use going for around 5-5200. There are two main places that i will be taking a quad each year. Number one is turkey bay at lbl's in kentucky. Usually i ride a borrowed arctic cat 700 efi but he has sold it on me. It did great. My buddy rides a 660 grizzly and it does great as well. I know you can go there and ride just about anything but i like knowing i have.....plenty of power to get up those rutted big hills, 4x4 is a must for me, and of course comfort. A locker is not really needed for me. So these are the things im looking for. I will post up here after i get back later tonight or tomorrow. I am sure i will like it.

the R500 is an awesome bike. a few aftermarket tweaks and some tunign and she runs as good as a 650-700. it's the only real sport with that is 4WD capable.

Rode the 800 r can am today. Absolutely the meanest most powerful, comfortable quad I have ever been on. Power was unreal, steering great, The only add on was an hmf pipe. I like stock and quiet but that pipe sounded so awesome. I think this may be the best choice. The only thing that I disliked about it was the engine braking may be a little too much! as soon as you let off the gas it starts slowing way down.

i believe that is adjsutable. but soem of it wil;l also be the driveline drag as well as compresion of the engine. but if it is applying the brakes, then i beelive there is an adjsutment to resovle that.

Just picked up this 2012 500 renegade. Like new with 26 miles on it. Saved a ton of money...Somebody else took as huge loss! I drove damn near to Georgia to get it, just got back. love it so far...

Awesome, nice pick up. That's the first one I have seen in white. They are almost always yellow
