I've been helping a buddy of mine get his '89 Suzuki LT250s going, and I've been having trouble tracking down a part. He needs a connecting rod kit. I can find them for the LT250r's, and the LT250's, but they're not the same. The rod was seized when he bought the bike, and the rod is all dis-colored from the heat, so he doesn't want to just jab a new bearing in and re-used the rod.
The local Suzuki dealer can only get the whole crank assembly for a crazy price.
I've checked a few different parts places online, and ebay, but I can't find anything. Anybody have any suggestions on where to go now?

So your saying this is a quad sport 250? How did Suzuki go from a 230 to a 250? If they did it with bore then maybe the rod kit is the same as the 230.

230 kits are easy to find and the years listed for them don't jive with the years they made 230s, that's why I'm asking.

I think it's the quad sport, I'm not 100% sure tho. I don't believe they're the same as the 230. Bike bandit shows a different number for the 230s and the 250s. That buddy of mine has got both bikes tho, and I know the motors are very similar.
