I realized that the PO of my 84 200es has put 8" rims and tires on the rear....

to get the correct 9" rims on this beast... will I need the hubs as well?

It is possible the hubs are the same, how ever I would measure the hubs you have to be sure.
The stock hubs on a 200es are 4 on 150mm ( 5.9 inches )
If your hubs measure 4 on 130mm ( 5.1 inches ) then the hubs are different.
If you need hubs and or possibly rims let me know.

I believe they are the same bolt pattern, which is why someone just tossed those wheel on there. Measure like Howdy suggested.

Yes you will need the 4x150mm rear hubs to run 9" factory wheels .
If you have 8" rear steel wheels their most likley 4x130m pattern.

That seems to be what i am finding looking through junk and pictures online.... Someone must have swapped the hubs and wheels on from something else.
