I'm looking at buying a '84 - '85 motor for my 1979 ATC110 but I'm told there are "too many differences" betwen the new motor and my old one. Anyone got any information as to the differences. Electrical differences are no problem. That's what I do. Frame changes are another issue as the trike is mint. Not keen to make irreversable changes. Any help would be great. Cheers

BS - I put an 1984 engine in a 1978 frame. It bolts in.

Electrical is the big difference. Since the 84 engine is CDI, you need the coil and CDI box from the 84.
Lights are the same.

As I recall:
- I welded on the correct brackets for the CDI and coil
- I used the ATC90 headlight switch for the kill and lights just like it was set up for the 90
- I used the ATC110 front/head engine brackets.
