Hi to all and its great to be part of a site for the old 3-wheelers.

I own an 85 250sx and when im riding it will bog down till it almost dies. I have to keep hitting the gas so it won't die any ideas on what it is? I'm thinking that the carb needs to get cleaned out. any ideas will be helpfull.

thanks Ray

Is your gas cap vent in the ON position? If it is, do like you said and clean the carb and go from there. That would be your 2 easiest things to check. Those carbs are relatively easy to clean.

yep, i agree with the captain... also unscrew the bottom of the petcock on the tank and see if thats full of dirt.. u need a 10 mm wrench .....good luck

Some of the gas cap vents quit working so on may not be on.

It's my favorite problem.

They sound like they're running out of gas so we pop the cap and it has gas in it
but also lets in enough air for it to run a few more minutes.

Just something to smile about while you're contemplating taking the carb off
and cleaning it.

I've missed an emulsion tube under one of the jets a few times.
Seems to be 1/2 inch long and full of holes and rust muck.

Please keep us posted.
