sofar reports say it was felt from Indy to St. Louis. that's about a 250-300mi total range.

What time was all this goin down at?? I didn't feel anything. I was helping a friend get his truck ready for paint today and I was running a prehistoric D.A. sander that would nearly rattle my teeth out to began with.

today 5:28pm cst. it was a quick hard shake for only a sec or two. like i said, it was nothing like the one a few years ago, but a decent quake none the less.

I remember the one a few years back. I had never been in a earthquake before. I was playing Enter Sandman on my electric guitar and the windows in the house started rattling and I was like hell yeah rock n roll only to be sadly let down that it was just mother nature shaking the hell out of my house.

Good to make sure gas water heaters are strapped to the wall
and any heavy bookcases that can tip over.

I had a 4 drawer file cabinet with the drawers not latched closed,
the top drawer came out and the whole thing did a cartwheel across the room and ended up
about 8-10 feet away from where it started, dumping Everything.

Had some cassette tapes lined up east and west that flew about 5 feet but the ones that were oriented north south where exactly right where I left them.

Strange stuff can happen.
