NOS Rear Axle - fits 1982 ATC 250 R

This is kind of cool. It's a NOS rear axle still in it's original Honda box w/Honda pick tag in a plastic sleeve glued to the box.

I wonder if it's the only NOS axle for the 82 ATC 250 R in the country?! :idea:

New the axle was $129 when purchased. The dealers made a little over $50 on each axle. I think this should end up in the $350- $500 range.

Howdy- according to the internet, it was between $230 - $161 new.

Trust me on this. When that axle was ordered by the dealer the retail price was $128.80 ( I think it was 1984 ) The dealer price was $77.62.
I did some side work at a Honda dealer years ago and learned how to read some of the codes on the labels. It was great to haggle dealers after that. LOL ;)

Howdy is right, according to the tag dealer cost when the axle was new was 77.62 but if one was available now it would be much more. That axle would look great on somebodies resto project.
