I was wondering if anyone knows what all parts off a 225dx will fit on a 200k, I have a running 200 with bad forks and a clutch that is startign to grab, I picked up a 225DX thats in peices for 100 bucks, Was debateing what to do, try to put the dx back togather, or use parts for my 200k

if it helps im putting a dx shift shaft into my 200k. i think all the parts are the same except the actual shifter lever is a little different, but im sure some of the more experianced guys will chime in soon.

The 200k was shaft drive? Mines chain, i had thought it was a 200k seeing as how it doesnt have a starter, maybe im wrong, lol.

From what i understand from looking at manuals The 200k is chain, the 200e is chain with electric start, and the 200l is shaft, like i said i may be wrong, but that's what I've gathered looking around.

I think the E changed from chain to shaft in 84 but I could be wrong. There was a few different models of the 200 and changed from year to year. Anyway they are both good trikes but if I had to choose one of them to fix it would be the 225dx. The rear shock does not have alot of travel but its better than nothing.

EDIT: the dx shaft is the same except length! i just put it in and i see its 1.5 to 2 inches longer! so my last reply is now wrong about them being the same.
EDIT: well it turns out it is longer but still works just fine.

I put the 225 front end on my 200k Works well, gave it more balance and seems to turn alot better, plus the shocks are 10 times better, so far thats all i know that can fit anyone know of anything else? I will also be selling parts off the 225, so if you need anything, let me know.
