Had a friend bring me an 83 yt175 the other day.He was complaining about it feeling like there is a governer on it and asked if I could disable it.I'm kinda clueless when it comes to these.I race go karts and have done several 4 stroke small engines so i'm not mechanicly dumb but looked it over and cant see anything that looks like what i'm used to looking for.

Check your electrical and make sure you got good spark. Try coil and CDI with a new spark plug. When I was younger I had a bike that did the same thing and someone had the wrong CDI on that bike. Put the right one on it and ran great. Down load a manual off here and this will help you alot
