What is a reasonable price to ask for this 1984 ytm 225dx? I just purchased this bike 3 months ago or so of CL the plastics are in good shape the front fender is a little cracked were bolts on but you cant really notice it at all. Bike runs good and starts on first pull, it doesnt smoke at all either. Im looking to upgrade to a more powerful three wheeler such as a tri z, tecate, or 250r something i can use out in the dunes my friends love riding out there and want to be able to joing them! Any ideas would be appreciated?

looks pretty good, wash it up spotless and fix the headlight sag .. it all depends on where you live... i would start it out at 895 $ and see where it goes... if you dont get any calls lower the price till you get a buyer... unless you want rid of it really soon then ask 100 more than you would really take 4 it..... just my thoughts.... good luck...

Thank you for the reply wow thats actually alot more than what i thought i could get for it. Truthfully i paid 350 for it the guy wanted 500 originaly but he really needed the money and i offered! I might just keep it clean it up a bit like u were saying then put it out for sale.

Geez, I'd say you got a sweet deal if you only paid 350. I don't know much about Yamaha's, but dang, I think you'd be able to ask at least twice what you paid for it. For that matter I don't think you'd be out of line by asking in the neighbour of 850 either.

def fix the headlight, clean her up bit and you should easily get 500-600 bucks and i would ask lil higher than you really take just in case somebody comes along try talk you down you still get wat you want for her.
