Funny how this isn't the front page of every news source today--- a man defends a whole slumber party of children against home invaders firing guns! http://www.news10.net/news/article/222195/2/1-dead-in-Sacramento-home-invasion

Had he NOT defended himself, family, and friends we probably would have heard of another mass murder / robery.
Thank goodness he was able to protect everyone, God Bless our 2nd Amendment!

There are thousands of incidents each year where law abiding citizens protect themselves from crime with a firearm. Problem is it's goes against the media's agenda.

Based on survey data from a 2000 study published in the Journal of Quantitative Criminology,[17] U.S. civilians use guns to defend themselves and others from crime at least 989,883 times per year.[18]"]* Based on survey data from a 2000 study published in the Journal of Quantitative Criminology,[17] U.S. civilians use guns to defend themselves and others from crime at least 989,883 times per year.

A 1993 nationwide survey of 4,977 households found that over the previous five years, at least 3.5% of households had members who had used a gun "for self-protection or for the protection of property at home, work, or elsewhere." Applied to the U.S. population, this amounts to 1,029,615 such incidents per year. This figure excludes all "military service, police work, or work as a security guard."[19]

A 1994 survey conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that Americans use guns to frighten away intruders who are breaking into their homes about 498,000 times per year.[20]

I used non-"NRA Trumped up stats", and also bolded and posted links to the sources to make it easy for our anti-gun buddies to reveiw the info. I doubt they will however.

Seems to me the home owner should be collecting the Crime Stoppers rewards posted at the bottom of the story.

It just occurred to me that perhaps the media doesn’t want to go national with the story until they get their hands on some photos of the “victims” from when they were 12 years old.
:wondering
