I was able to take part in the UP honor flight a few months ago. I was a guardian for a fella by the name of Ed. He fixed boats and got them ready to go back out and fight again during WWII,he gave 2 full years of his life fighting the war.

If you know someone who is a WWII vet please have them look into the D.C. trip thru honor flight, they are country wide so there should be someone close. If you can also donate to the cause, all vets fly FOR FREE! As a gaurdian you have to pay $500 (thru my honor flight anyways).

Its sad how fast we are lossing our WWII vets and it's a shame it took this long to get a monument built for them, the mission of honor flight is to bring every vet to see it.

I've never heard of the Honor Flight but congratualitions for taking part in it. That's noble of you to do that for the people that were willing to give their lives for this country.

There are no words. Thank you... With the end of these heroes, begins the end of everything they fought for. So sad.
