Hi this would be my first 2 stroke and im not sure how loud its gonna be, if its too loud do you have any suggestions on what i could do to keep it down without spending like 300 bucks for a silencer so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Colton

I have turned down 4-5 cheap ( Under $200, most under $50 ) Yam125 and Yam175's over the past 2-3 years. I hate them with a passion. I currently have parts from Yam 125-175's that have been on the shelf for a long time. I got a 175 rollin chassis this past spring that I put it out behind the barn to rot. I would rather replace 10 P3 starters than even think about owning another 125 or 175.

the only thing that i can recommend if its to loud for your is to repack the silencer with new packing, i personally dont find them that loud compared to alot of two strokes out there.

ok thanks for the info i watched some videos and they did seem to be quiet i have a 225dx so im used to deep sounding motors so i think this will be interesting, also are they fast? so i plan to race my 225dx and the 125 and im really not sure which one would b e faster? because the 225dx is shaft 4 stroke and the 125 is chain 2 stroke, im guessing that it will be a tie but i could be completely wrong

I have no clue how they compare to the 225DX because i never rode one, here's some brochures with some of the specs for the YT125.

its a hard tail so it can get a little bumpy, it all depends on what tires and what pressure you run them at, you can bolt on a YT175 front end for suspension just make sure you get the front axle with it.160084
