84 honda 200x Mono shock -How to take the spring off???

Ok yesterday I tried taking it off but to take it off you need to pop that hose off that connects that reservoir thing (no idea what its called) to the shock and some stuff came out. Just a little bit. Now how am I supposed to take my spring off without loosing all that fluid? Also sounded like there was some pressure behind it.. did I screw myself over by doing that?

The spring comes off at the bottom , theirs a big C shaped washer that holds in on . Loosen the spaner nuts all the way and it will just about fall apart on its own. :lol:
