WHO'S ALREADY PACKING?! Bikes in one piece? Projects started yet? Its coming up, only a short 24 weeks to get everything put back together/rebuilt/powdercoated/shined/RAFFA'D/bored out/fueled up! That only leaves some of us a few real paychecks to get our bikes and finances ready~! :Bounce

Who all is going this year? Im packed for California in March, but my 250r has been ready for TF2013 since I rolled in and washed her off from TF2012 :D

TF 2013 falls on the weekend of the 21st-23rd, who's in for this year?!

Not sure what ill bring this year.. the 87 T3 has been to every trikefest, so it will be there, its ready to go! The 125cc 70ATC70 needs a chain tensioner, i might put a starter in it and i have to see how my suspended chassis is comming.. The 2cate is all set too. Thats my 3 definates.. 86 T3 is good, miniT3 kx80 needs a rear master, 86 200X needs clutch, my TriZ is set, 88cc 70 is set, my P3 and 350x are my next projects in line..
I guess ive got options! Lol

JasonB
01-04-2013, 04:28 PM
its like 7 or 10 bucks a night for a site, i forget how much. I usually shell out around 40-60$ on camping but I also pull in around tuesday or wednesday. But just paying for camping and then ride all you want. That place is like haven when its not pouring rain though lol

It was $15 or $16 a night this last year. Plus you need a membership card. I think it is only $1. If you are under the age of 18 you need a parental consent form as well.

I wonder if we will have any new Haspin Acres 6 ft bats this year?!?!?!

This year will be my 9TH in a row. Will be there Wednesday - Sunday with 6 machines.
Hope to debut the 400X this year, bringing the 110 for MX, the newly acquired ALL ORIGINAL 350X for you guys to eye hump, and the P3 will have a secret new mod too.
The Fat Cat will be in the bed of the truck. That leaves one spot on the trailer for the Big Red, 250R, 125Mmmmm, 70, and 200S to fight over. Wonder who will win?

Will be caravaning this year with The Enthusiast, who will be a TrikeFest virgin. This promises to be epic!!

All of mine are done except the KX. The 200X needs a bit more carb tuning and the hydraulic clutch fitted, and the fat cat has to go to DC plastics to get their side panels finished up so they can produce them.

You can't imagine how elated I am that I'll be with you again this year and for a nice long time. I'm not perfect and I am fortunate to have such great friends in my life. The older you get, the more you love your true friends.

Glad to see your coming back again Steve! We need to hit the trails again this year, 350x style!

We're going to have a +3" swinger on it Jason. As far as first-gen Tecates go, the stock swinger is about 2.5" too short right out of the box, so it's not like having much of an extension at all. We'll probably just toss some 4-Snows on it for the drags and GIT IT RAGGG!!!!

One thing I would like to add real quick-

I'm really not trying to put a damper on things here or be a negative Nancy, but I just want to ask everyone beforehand to please be conscious of where you place your trash. I spent a lot of time last year, most often by myself, picking up other people's trash. I just want everyone to realize what we have there at Haspin. Those people open the doors WIDE for us. They absolutely love us coming there and they are EXTREMELY good to us as a group. Where I come from in Massachusetts, we don't have places like Haspin Acres. The place is so much fun I'm surprised it's not illegal. Up here in Mass when you go out in the woods or to a pond or a lake, there is usually a ton of trash everywhere. It's downright sad and makes me disgusted with my fellow man. It has a snowball effect as well because people see the trash that's already there and they are much more likely to contribute to it. Basically, it's gross up here and Haspin is not like that. Until you've seen how it is here, maybe you wouldn't appreciate how clean Haspin is.

There were MANY occasions last year where I cleaned up after other people. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Nobody made me do what I did, it was my own choice and I'll do the same thing this year. I'm not here to point fingers or ask for thanks. I just want to try and make people aware of what they have and to appreciate it. I brought trash bags down to the river on more than one occasion last year and picked up hundreds of beer cans. Very few people helped me (Dianimal helped). Another day I was at the Shoe Tree the day after a night of debauchery. There were literally HUNDREDS of beer cans tossed everywhere. I personally dragged a barrel over there by myself and picked up every last beer can and piece of trash by myself. It took me about 30 minutes while 3 of my friends watched me and didn't help. I'm not mad at them at all, it wasn't all their trash. They shouldn't have to pick it up. I just can't look at it. Same thing at the Backbone. There were beer cans rolling down the hill as the riders were coming up. Then once the event cleared out, it was time to pick up there as well.

Guys I'm just asking everyone to be conscious of what we have at this place and to take care of it, not destroy it. We are welcomed with open arms by these fine people who let us tear their park up 24 hours a day for that week with VERY lenient rules and a smile on their faces. If they get upset by the trash, it is not going to be cool. I picked up a lot last year, and I'll pick up again this year, but please try to lend me a hand. If you go to the river, or anywhere for that matter, take 5 seconds and grab a couple of trash bags to take with you. Put your trash in the trash bag and don't be ashamed to pick up someone else's trash either.

I'm glad that you brought that up. In the planning for Trikefest that has been addressed. We plan on scheduling some kind of ecology ride during the weekend to help clean up the park. We also have talked about helping Haspin out during our weekend with the maintenance of the restrooms. There will be more posted on these issues when I have more time. Thanks

any chance anyone is driving from the west coast? Just throwing it out there, I would feel pretty stupid if some one drove out there and said I could of picked your bike up on my way. Not looking for free ride but if someone is going that way and coming back my one trike could use a vacation to. Everyone needs help with gas.

What would be awesome, is if they just gave us access to a hose! We could take a hose to that bathroom once a day, and it would be so nice and clean. It wouldn't damage anything in there.

Still not sure if ill be there or not. Wife has not said one way or the other. With the new baby's due date so close ill respect her decision if she wants me to stay home. She hasn't said yes, but she hasn't said no either. The thing that scares her is the lack of cell signal there.

If she gives me the OK to go, Ill give her the office number so they can find me if something comes up. But the problem is after office hours. If I can find a few members who have good cell signal there I may ask for phone numbers to give her in case I need to be reached. I wont be too hard to find. Does this sound like something you guys might be able to help me with?

If badgering doesn't work, try "asked and answered" or "leading the witness".

My cell works there and I am up during non-office hours. I don't carry it much for fear of losing or damaging it, but you are welcome to use it as much as you need.

I am always willing to help my trike brethern, especially from Brazil, the biggest triking hotbed this side of Jamestown, NY.

It don't have a dirt bike big bore 2 stroke....It's not a rare race trike like a Tiger or Tricky Dick.....It's not a custom conversion of any kind. Although I'd love to have any of the for mentioned rides, I'm bringing what is currently my "nicest" ride. Kinda on the rarer side according to what I've seen/read (not sure why,:wondering they were made for 2 yrs?). Just got the carb cleaned tonight and she's ready to roll just needs a little clean up:D. So if ya never seen a KLT185 in person and want to, look me up or wave me down as I'm going by. Also bring the BR & BW200. Can't wait see everyone again and meet some new folks as well!

Thats no lie, I had my doubts about getting out of the bottom in 11. The 4X4 Silverado got to the top though. I had mud on the windshield and hood, but I got out. I think I was one of the first out that day. I had a broken wrist and left about a half hour after the rain started.

that was no joke in 11!!! I drove my MR2 turbo that year pulling my 310 on a harbor freight trailer. I pulled it to the parking lot from the pavilion by the lake saturday night before it rained. Had a hell of a time climbing that hill on foot with supplies! Eric had his Duramax i think it was and just barreled up the hill in 4x4 pulling a trailer load of bikes throwing mud EVERYWHERE!
