I just hit 10 years active last week. I'm halfway there, y'all! I'm in the Army and my job title is a Helicopter Powertrain Repairer. In other words, I work on rotor heads, gearboxes, and driveshafts. I'm also certified to perform Non-Destrcutive Testing. I have been to three duty stations in Korea (Camp Page, Camp Eagle, and now Camp Humphreys), I spent 5 1/2 years stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA, and I've been deployed to Camp Stryker, Iraq for The Surge at Baghdad Int'l Airport and FOB Salerno in Khost Province, Afghanistan.

That sucks that you couldn't finish your full term. Can you retire after 20 with a pension like the Canadian Forces?

No matter what nick names we get, active duty, guard, reserves, retired, alive or fallen. Were all brothers and sisters and will always be.
