After more then a Decade of making off-road videos, we are contemplating doing our first DVD. I am considering doing a documentary at this years trikefest. We would do action video segments on the various orgonized events, and the spontaneous events that happen annually, something about a flaming burnout and 70cc underground racing. We also want to do some small in-between segments on the people and machines that stand out at the event. Something like a Huevos film, although I am no Wes Miller:D

I would like to do a professional job on the movie with professional packaging, labeling and disc reproduction. Along with these costs, we are looking at three days of filming with two camera men and three to four weeks of video editing. I am doing this as a professional project, as a keepsake for the people who attend and to help spread the experience or three-wheeler riding and Trikefest with others.

As a professional DVD we will have to find bands willing to license music to us, so no AC/DC sorry, but we will look for a good mix of stuff that doesn't sound like crap.

I'm not taking orders at this time, however, I am interested in the number of people who would be interested in purchasing a 30-45 min. Trikefest DVD. I estimate that it will cost between $15 and $20, depending on the run time of the film, cost for music, etc.

If you would be "interested" in purchasing a copy, please post back.

Here is an example of an action video we recently put together.

I would be in. However, attending the last two years of TF, there would have to be those blurs that they use on COPS to protect mysel...errr the innocent on some of the "Underground" or after hour activities!!

I'm down for at least one, possibly two. Of course the only "blur" will be my wicked fast battle trike on the MX track. Hope you have a high-speed camera!

sounds like an awesome movie to have, since im to far out to make it to t/f. could also use some of the new go pro 3's with the cinema capabilities to widen your recording.

I'm all in. It would be great to see this come together.

From what I see Wes Miller could take a few editing lessons from you. I love how the music is back round to the exhaust!

Yes, back ground music is ok but I personally would much rather hear the exhaust than music.

I hope everyone understands that I have seriously been wanting to film this entire event for three or four years now. All of you were a big part of our inspiration for building our 250R and 350X projects.

Unfortunately, I can't make the DVD happen for 2013. Rob and I just wrapped up the built 250R shoot over the weekend, however, we still have to shoot all of the action video needed to produce the test on the 350X. We started these projects over a year ago, involving many aftermarket companies, several of which are members of this forum, HRE and Cosmic Quads. Finishing up our obligations to these companies has to be my number one priority, and with Rob and I living four hours apart, Trikefest will be our next opportunity to complete the X shoot.

Also, if the turn out for motocross this year is as poor as it looks, filming would be a wash, as it is the most exciting part of the event to spectate. I hope people can get their feet wet on the new track this year and we can feel confident that there will be enough competitors to make the track portion of the film fun to watch.

Consider the announcement official, Trikefest 2014 the movie will happen for sure, well, god willing.

Dammit! it looks like I will have to drive out there next year and bring my trikes. It was a good idea and will support the video next year whether I show up or not.

Well I will respect that. Really wish it was this year but life is busy and I completely understand that.

This year just didn't work out. The guy that was going to help him film decided to back out, that would have left me to help Joe film. Then there was the unfortunate and unexpected death of my brother the week of trikefest, which left me absent. It would have been too much for Joe to do by himself, so he opted not to attend also.
