I was thinking about a front end swap on my 250sx, but then thought what if I put a 22x8x10 tire on a 10 inch rim? Can this be done? In other words how narrow a tire can mounted on a 8 inch wide rim? How wide is a 200x tire? Also I want new mud tire on the rear. I was thinking going with a 9 inch aluminum rim and 25 inch zillas. They weigh 20 pounds which is 4 to 5 pounds less then other 22 inch tires I'm looking at (gators and bearclaws). Also does it matter what 9 inch rim I buy, besides bolt pattern? The site I'm looking at has a large bell 9 inch rim and a regular 9 inch.

buy big red 9 inch rims, sx and big red are the same, and i have a 250r 2 stroke front end on my big red, and makes her great for wheelies, also a 250sx with 25 inch tires, will blow a big red out the water with no trouble at all, i wish i had one, also, if you go and buy a 300 fourtrax cam shaft, and top piece of the head, and tweak the carb, she will have tons more power, what year is your sx?

To my knowledge, Big Red rims are 9" and SX rims are 8". But I think they are the same bolt pattern.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

It's an 85. My rims now are 8 inch with 4/110 bolt pattern. Not many tire options in and 8 inch rim. I'm going to buy a 200x front end and 25" zillas on 9" rims.161315161316161317
