Another 200x carb Question.

Hey gays and gals I'm new to the forum here

I recently started doing some upgrades on the X and I got a carb from a 83 xr200 and the slide in it is
Smaller then what I have on the bike now.
Is it possible that its from maybe a 185 not a 200 like when I put the slide in the x carb it's way smaller lol.

What would be the seggested year of xr200 carb to get and carb numbers to look for?

Also maybe if someone knows just a ballpark of what jets I should be running in the carb?
Cobra exhaust,uni filter,and 81 XL185 cam everything else is stock.

And would a sator off a xr200 work on the 200x some look to be the same and some don't?

Well tonight I'm going to go get a xr200 engine with a messed up piston and jug
And hopefully the stator is somewhat the same. It's from a 1983.

Post a picture of the carb?

The XR200.. That name sounds firmiliar. I swear someone said its almost exactly the same motor as the 200x. I might be wrong but that's what I thought I heard.

So I got the xr engine and I took the stator and the magneto off and put it on the x direct bolt on and bam it has spark now.
And I ended up getting a 28mm carb. Also off a xr 200.

Awesome! I thought I heard that before, that the xr200 was the same. How's that carb working out for you??

Carb seems to be working great seems like it goes better and smother but I have only rode it for like 25 minutes.
way too rich with the 138 main in it tho. the pilot is a 35 and I think it should be fine.
I need to get another main and lower it down some I will be doing that very soon. I thinking like a 25 or close.

I use my brothers 250sx as a Dyno with my bike so I will see soon how much faster it is when I get a chance to go beside
Him lol.

If anyone has any suggestions on what jetting to use let me know please.

For the jetting couldn't you just use stock 200x jet settings? Not sure what they are. Do you have any mods done to the 200x? Like a pipe, airbox mod?

I think the stock might lean it out a tad.
Just little mods. (Cobra exhaust,uni filter no lid on now, XL185 cam. The lid will be going back on the air box when the dust comes back hard crusty snow everywhere here now it's really nice I can go anywhere with the 4 snows on it lol.
I think I'm going to get a 122 main stock is 110 and see how that goes.
