Was checking out the Honda website and didnt see it in the lineup for 2012 or 2013?:wondering Im usually up to date on the Hondas but cant seem seem to find any info anywhere on it? The 300EX has been around forever, hate to see it fade away in the past! Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm with ya, I would hate to see it go. What a legendary machine. Like the 300 Fourtrax. I will check my dirtwheels 2013 lineup later and see if it is on there.

It's long gone. I'm really surprised the 400ex is still around. They quite making the xr400 motorcycle along time ago and thats what shares the similar engine.

I'm very dissapointed in what new atvs have been offered in the last 10 years. Theres nothing fun and unique anymore. Everybody sticks there same 450 or 250 cookie cutter engines in the atvs that are in the bikes now. There just to similiar for me. Yeah the 450 4stroke engine are a technological work on art but I could give a rats azz there boring to me. remember the old school battle of 300ex vs warrior? 2 crappy machines battle it out to see what the best 4stroke is? I think riding was alot more fun back then. More of a challenge to go fast.

swampthang, I totally agree.....I had a 2006 Honda 450r, it was fast but I can honestly say I had alot more fun on my 200x and 300ex. I miss the good ole days for sure! What was the last year for the 300ex, do you know?

I agree the 250X/300EX was a great machine and tough as an ATV comes. But damn, don't you think it was about time? The thing had been around since 1987. People say Yamaha got some mileage out of the Banshee and Blaster, Honda has them beat. And at least Yamaha stepped up and has a good replacement with the Raptor 250. The TRX250EX is an absolute joke, its like they went backwards with that pathetic model. I have no idea how Honda stays in business with their ATV lineup, although I do like the Foreman 500ES.

Honda is selling them because they have a name for reliability because of the 300ex, 250r, 300 fourtrax, etc....Dont get me wrong Im a diehard Honda fan and thats all I will ever own, but they dont make em like they use to. That electric shift bullcrap is the worse thing they ever did in my opinion!

I think the last year of 300ex/x was 2011. Its sad to see a model dropped but it had a hell of a good run. ATV's are not build with the same quality as they used to be. Knock on wood I never had any real problems with electric shift Hondas. If you submerged them under water alot then they would kind of act up but after they dried out they was fine again. I have stopped buying new Honda atvs. I sold my new Foreman 500es to buy a nice used Foreman 450es. The quality is MUCH better. Built like a tank. I have also added a 300 4wd and just last weekend bought the Clint Eastwood of the Honda ATV world, the Foreman 350 with the solid front axle(HELL YEAH TRY TO TEAR THAT UP!) The motor is pretty much a 350x engine.

I will not be buying any new Honda ATV's until they pull there heads out of there butts and built better machines that I want. I need to add a trx 250r to my collection sometime. I have to much utilty and not enough sport:wondering

I have more fun rallying the crap out of my 300Ex than I do on my Banshee......And I have a hell of a lot of fun on my Banshee...
