Hey Everyone, I checked the forums and couldnt find what i need,

I Have a 1984 Atc 110 honda, And its smoking real bad. Ive seen other sites people say, Piston rings, Valve adjustments and stuff.

It smokes worse the more throttle i give it Does it seem like this would be just Rings? Ive never had it apart

Alot of smoke and the piston / rings / bore = done ... time for a top end rebuild ...

Would i have to go to a bigger size piston? or just bigger rings?

I would do nothing until it got measured.
If a machine shop says it's worn x amount, but new rings may fix it, then it's rings.
If they say it's over the service limits, they'll tell you what oversize to get.

Don't repeat this but I usually just re ring and squeak another season out of them.
By then, a better trike usually comes along anyway.
(uness yours is pristine and really worth the expense)

One of your rings could be broken.
Not sure if those have rubber valve seals, but they are super cheap and may be a big part of the problem.

Is it new to you or has it gotten worse, slowly over time?
Compression test?

I sure hope it's simple , cheap and easy for you.

do you have a
service manual
?
