Just curious why bidding is relatively slow on the 250R where others I've seen were already through the roof at the same "Time Left:"

Mabey because they are about as common as an Accord or a Civic?

Its the second or third time being listed and right off the bat the decals are wrong for the 1985 model. Its making people wonder about everything else. Decals or not, what a beauty!

honestly to me that doesn't look like a low hour machine. That looks like a average hour machine that's been taken impeccable care of. The devil is really in the details honestly. Anyone who is willing to drop decent coin on a CHERRY 250r is going to know what to look for. Right off the bat I can pic out a few things.

Something is funny with that front tire, it's either over inflated or is the wrong one or something, something just looks off
decals are wrong
handle bars are aftermarket
seat has wear spots (though is in nice shape)
aftermarket silencer
dinks in the wheels
clutch cable is routed wrong or is the wrong one
aftermarket grips
wear on clutch cover from kicker
coating worn of break pedal
something looks funny with the fork gators
paint is worn off clutch lever
rusty spots on axel
aftermarket rear sprocket or stock one has been modified
heavy marks on swing arm
shock spring is wrong color
deep scratches on front fender
skid plate has tell tale signs of more than a few hours of use
headlight glass has marks in it
non oem bolts all over the thing
aftermarket chain

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice machine, but it's a $1800-2000 machine not a $2500-3500. It just screams well taken care of daily rider, OR it was assembled from the best parts he had, maybe a take out engine, new cables, and some care in hopes of hiting it big on ebay with a big sale.

I have seen it sell two or three times on eBay, and it pops up again in a week or so. That should tell you enough!
Nice observations from Louis above!
250r's(85-86) had 19 ribs on fork boots, those are 350x boots.

Man!! You guys are good. This is exactly why I asked the question. I missed most of those details. I'm not in the market for one at the moment but we have all seen the price on these that are in "Collector" condition sky rocket.

This is like an episode of CSI...LOL... So robertc...You say it sells on ebay every couple of weeks or so. Is it the same seller? Or is it a different seller but the same bike?

Same seller, I believe he mentioned non-payment the first time.
