I need help with my 1985 big red

I have a 1985 big red and im having troubke with the carb and I was wondering if a carb off a late 1990 to 2000 model 300 fourtrax would work on my big red and if not does anyone know where I could get a carburetor

try ebay for a carb, if not, try your honda dealer for a kit, and what trouble are you exactly having?, and if your willing to try and change the carb to one off a 300 fourtrax, then i suggest changing the top piece, and cam off you head to one of a 300, so she will be a 300, then put a 300 carb on her, whitch they offer new ones on ebay for 86 bucks, aftermarket, just rememeber you gotta buy cables for that year of carb as well, big red dont fit it, i tried :P

i would just put a kit in the one you have.. its alot cheaper than buying another carb and its made for your engine...but thats me..

yes a kit is good to, but my option brings out a lot of power in the big red, i've done it, and shes crazy power now
