Hi i use my trike for enduros and MX track most weekends, now admittedly it is old as suspension goes but are there any mods that these machines benefit from? Currently I'm on 20w fork oil and 10 psi of air pressure which is a lot better than it was as std . What did they do back in the day when they were raced, if I could buy better fork units I would because I enjoy riding it a lot . Hope some one out there may be able to show me the light ! Cheers guys .

Search ebay or check places like DennisKirk look for progressive springs. These can replace your stock springs. Also you can have your triple clamps bored out and run 200x or 83 ,84 250r forks. You would need a custom front hub aswell. Also the 200x and 350x front end will bolt on with slight mods. 200x front is a popular swap.I think all this requiers is grinding down the steering stop alittle.

Well I bought progressive springs from Dennis Kirk for my 82 and my friends 85 atc 250r , what an improvement ! My 82 is just so much better, set the pre load ,20w oil and 10 psi air pressure she flys over the rough with little arm pump , been staying with the quad guys which I'm well impressed with ! Good advice made my day with the improvement .

i needs a 250r lol, i got a set of shocks for an 84 in my shed, i wasnt sure of the front end thats on my big red, didnt know what year of 250r they put on her, ended up being 86 or 85, looking for a new set of shocks, bc the spacer went missing, and the bolts holding the disk on cut right into my shock

rcurtis16, I think those 84 forks will work on my 83 250R. How much for a pair?
