i want to remove the key from my 83 big red. how would i do the wiring to not need a key?

You may be able to get a key for 5 bucks from honda if you get the number off the cylinder.

Never actually seen an 83 but been through lots of 85 models with dead
cylinders and lost keys.
On those models, I just unplug the key wires and use the kill switch for on and off, but then my idiot freinds can jump on them and I have to WALK.
I like it when keys work.

Yep just unplug the green and black wires from the switch, if you want the lights to work unplug the red and yellow/red from the switch and plug them into each other, they are usually opposites so that one is a female and one is a male connector, you don't need to chop nothing up just remove the headlight bulb and find the wires from the ignition switch.
