Today I went to Walmart searching for some lube to lube up my throttle cable and ran across this stuff called (white lightning easy lube for bicycle chains) my question is will it work? I am gonna try it out tomorrow.

I had a bad experience with chain lube once. :naughty:



Let's just say White Lightning works great! If you keep it IN THE SHOP.

Chain lube is NOT something you want in your throttle... Any decent chain lube will have a tacky texture to it. NOT what you want. Stick with PB,WD or any lubricant.

I just bought the PB dry lube. Really good stuff. Only problem I had is the stupid spray nozzle is broken.

ise a good water replent lube or a teflon based lube, teflon doesnt freeze and it also provides exceptionl movement

DO NOT USE chain lube for cables, works great on chains but you will never be able to move the cables. Like said above chain lube is tacky to stick to a moving chain.
