saftey cut off tri z 86

Hi All picked up my bike today, and noticed it does not have the rubber plug saftey cut off which wrapped round your wrist like a jet ski,which my 85 tri z had did they discontinue this on the 86 ,or could it have been removed? any ideas any one thanks in advance

To my knowledge, neither the '85 nor 86 Tri-Z came originally equipped with a "dead-man" kill switch. The one on your '85 must have been installed by a previous owner.
