I have an 84 200m in pretty good shape it has only 2 cracks in the plastics and no rust the seat is mint. The gas tank is has a.couple dents but nothing major. Everything works great even electric start. Has new chain and sprockets and tires and seat. I want to know what the value could be im in Manitoba. I've been thinking of selling it and buying a 200x or something more high performance.

Alot of guys on here say it all depends on where you are located...Im starting to agree from what Ive seen over the past year! All depends on how bad somebody wants it and how low you are willing to go. Start high...but dont give it away. Looks like a really nice 200m. You could always put it on craigslist and see what kinda of trades you get thrown at you. Good luck man!

Also..if youre looking for good smooth 4stroke power the 350x is always an option or the 86-87 200x if you can find one not beat all to crap. The first gen 200x's are plentiful but I prefer the 86 and 87's with the extra gear. Makes a huge difference!

the SX is the sport version of the Big Red..same motor, no clutch. If you want a clutch def the 200x. Never owned a 250r but a few of my friends have em, all depends on how aggressive you plan on riding.

if you get a $250 250R...I hope you love working on it!!!- 2 strokes are high maintenance-especially a low cost one... but performance wise... R's are the best!! I love mine, but as far as trail riding... if your going from a 200M... you would love a 250sx... rear suspension, a bit more peppy, reverse... the downside is it has almost the same top speed as the M maybe 5 more mph...but before you want R... I suggest hoping on one of your friends & taking it for a test spin... if its running right you'll prob sh*t your pants... I grew up on a 200m, drove it for about 15 years.. then got a 200x & I thought that was fast.... until I got my 84r

I actually do love working on them!! The r is supposed to work great and in perfect mechanical shape just some cosmetic flaws. The git I want to buy it off of is a good friend of mine and we are both mechanics so maintainence and repair is not an issue
