John stop messing with the fresh meat.:D
Knobbies are hard to beat for the price. Stay away from trail pros and turf savers.

I just asked that question a week or so ago.
Maybe try the search key for 'cheap tires'?
I see cheap prices and high shipping or say 59$ and free shipping on ebay.
Considering tubes are around 30 bucks, I'm half tempted to fill a couple of mine with expanding insulation foam.
Good luck and let us know what you find.
I need at least 4 myself for the upcoming festival season.
and yeah, what's the deal on turfsavers?
are they like golf cart tires?

I had the Cheng Shin 829 knobbies on a hardtail. I like them. Soft and balloony like the original Ohtsu.

In that size I would say the best cheaper tire is the kenda Scorpion. They ride decent, last decent, and have a nice profile. i think they are around $70 each.
