Aluminum engine casing anodized or bare?

1980 110. Do you know if the motor casings are coated or bare case aluminum?

As far as I know they were bare aluminum...the outer covers were painted though.

All of the bare metal was top coated. The natural appearing triples actually have a silver topcoat with an indistrial clear finish. Engine cases were natural with the clear over it to protect the metal. Things like axles had a white or yellow zinc plating as well as the fasteners. There really wasn't any bare metal on any machine Honda manufactured all in the name of corrosion protection.
