Do I need HD?? Allot of you members with one may or may not have HD but most videos look good to me.

You can get the HD Hero 2 fairly cheap now on ebay. I would highly recommend it. The hero 1's quality wasn't there, and the hero 3 has too much stuff, too complicated. I've crashed submurged, froze, dropped, anything you can do to the hero 2 I have done. Buy one! They're great!

Any other camera would be destroyed by the conditions I put my gopro in. Awesome in all aspects, you can't go wrong

HD Hero 2, I love it. You'll want a bigger memory card at some point. The sound is great with the waterproof back removed if you are going less than 80mph and the play back on an HD TV is crystal clear. If you crash a lot you'll have to replace the little bubble lens once in a while and do make sure the waterproof back is on if you plan to play in the mud. Oh, and get some extra curved helmet mounts. Your helmet is the only place that vibration is nil. If you mount it on the vehicle it vibrates a fair bit. Be sure to use that little funny white rubber thing on the base or the camera will shake, even on the helmet.

I recommend the lcd back if you get a hero2. It makes going through the menu a breeze and can also play back video instantly.

HERO 3 all the way! I bought mine for the invasion, and with the 64 gig memory card (mini sd card) I got almost 9 hours of footage and over 200 hundred pictures! Quality is amazing too. I went with the Hero3 silver edition, its the middle edition but the quality and features are worth it. I paid like 270$ shipped for mine and I freaking love it!

I got the 3 white for Christmas but haven't got to try it out yet since I didn't have a snowmobile this year. Supposed to be near 60 tomorrow though so dirt riding time is near!

Can the GP 3 do all 9 hours on one charge? What size card does it come with? My 2 only gets 2 to 2.5 hours max. on a charge.
