Getting ready for our festival season but the place is almost ready.
Outdoor kitchen and showers etc.

So if anyone will be near Eugene and University of Oregon,
feel free to visit and stay for free.

The Oregon dunes (atv heaven) are less than an hour away.

ps - it's a campground with wifi so camping gear would be a good idea.

I live in Medford, so I may be up your way soon. You have any good trails to ride other than the dunes?

If it's your first time out, I know the dunes pretty well from Winchester Bay to down through the Coos Bay areas. I'd be happy to offer my knowledge of the area and show people around. Florence is about the only area I really don't know that well.

The backyard is fun. About 13 acres.
East of EUG are 2 places.
One is shotgun creek and the other is Huckleberry.
Never been but they're listed on the rideatvoregon website.

Florence is easy.

The main turn off south of the bridge is to Goose pasture and south jetty.
There's even a loading dock you can back up to.
Monster hill climb, huge dry lake bed, all kinds of sand trails and killer dunes, Literally.
and of course, easy access to the beach itself.

My only complaint is that I think some of the trails should be one way.

Thanks for the info! I just moved up here last year and don't know much about Oregon and haven't ever lived near dunes before. I am used to the flat land and dirt of Louisiana! I do plan on hitting the dunes at some point but need some riding buddies first.

Well? Welcome.
I've been hooked on the bayou shows lately.

You may want to check out
www.rideatvoregon.com and get your off road certificate.
It's free and required on state lands.

Kinda funny / fun test and they mail you a genuine platic card.
No mention of insurance required yet.

Generally, any BLM land is ok to ride on but lots of places are closing because
people dump tv's and couches etc.
Maybe check with a local bike shop and see if they have planned rides.

Our main festival this summer up here is called oregoncountryfair.com and is a 3 days fest of food and music.
and another called faerieworlds.
The only places I've been are the pasture and creek 1/2 pipe and the dunes in Florence.
Oh, and you need a flag 9 ft off the ground.
helmet and be able to pass the noise test if your is real loud.

oh, and a 2 year sticker for your machine for like 10 bucks that can be had at almost any sports or motorcycle shop. MAYbe? online?

Yea, I am legal with everything but will be getting a new silencer for my exhaust before pushing my luck. My 250r came with a Richter Privateer silencer and it doesn't have a spark arrestor and is pretty loud. Right now I am riding on private land and it's not a big deal.
