Hey y'all I wondering if it would be bad to run my 225 DX without the muffler since mine is rusted out and I can't find much for a new replacement.

Thanks

Yes do not run it without A muffler it needs that back pressure its funny becouse i recently got a 200x that im am goin to do a restore on and i went out for its maiden voyage today and the mounting bracket on the cobra slip on pipe broke and my muffler flew off on the road at about twentyfive miles per hour i shut it off and sent the kkd to go and get the truck broke and the had to brake out the welder. lol

Then buy a used replacement: http://www.ebay.com/itm/85-Yamaha-225-DX-3-Wheeler-Tri-Moto-Exhaust-Muffler-/271178315522?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f237cb702

There's others on ebay. Sandblast it and paint it with high temp paint....
