250sx swap to 200x front end.

Ive wanted to do this for a while but don't have much money to spend. I was wondering if I could just buy 200x triple trees and a 200x wheel and hub setup. Then just use the old forks from the 250sx. Will the wheel fit right into the forks or are they not compatible? Will I have any other problems?

I have searched the board for advice on this type of swap and my question would be why can't you use the stock triple trees off the SX and just slide the 200x forks and rim, brakes etc. in?

You can swap a complete 200x on the SX,you need to weld a stopper on the frame.You also need the 200x fender,brake and headlight.
OR
cheaper,install the 200x shock in the 250sx triple,you need the 200x brake setup.Use the SX axle,200x wheel with hub.
You will have to change both wheel spacer and install spacer between fork and caliper.You can keep the 250sx dash,switch,light,fender.....no modification needed to the frame
