250 Big Red wont start

I have good spark and carb gets fuel like supposed to but still not starting so I dumped a little fuel down cylinder still nothing but smoke filled motor and came out of carb. What could this mean or what is wrong?

If you have a thread that is getting response, don't make a second..it's irritating!
