I'm no welding expert, so I seek the knowledge of the welders here. ;) I Came across these looking for a welding outfit. They have what seem to be some nice All-In-One set-ups: AC/DC TIG/Stick welder and 50 amp Plasma cutter:

I was going to get one a couple years ago until I did a little research on them. Made in china, the circuit boards go to hell on them. I ponied up the cash and bought a 110 wire feed and a 220 ac/dc stick welder.

I've got an older stick welder I got from my Dad, but I want a wire feed to go with it. I could get a separate plasma cutter, a buddy has one at work and they are nice.

What did you get for a wire feed?

I got a Firepower with the gas bottle and everything. I've had it for about 10 years and no problems, it welds very nice and easy to use

Miller, Lincoln, or on the lower end, a Hobart, Century MIG. 220 is better for the thicker metals but the 110s work very well on sheet metal and most everything up to 3/8" thickness.

Unless Miller or Lincoln make it, I wouldn't buy it. Who knows, might be a great machine.

I tend to stick with the brands that I know will work.

There are tons of great used TIGS out there but they are older and take up allot of space.

Don't buy anything that doesn't have a local dealer and spare parts less than 48 hours away.

one of the best 220 migs of all time is the miller 200, i have a hobart 220 stick for heavier stuff, and a good set of torches for cutting .
