I have a question regarding a golf cart I had given to me. I was going to fix it up, but now am thinking of selling it, because it doesnt seem to be driver friendly. When I start it, it goes there is no neutral. It runs great, and is in great shape. Does need a muffler. Does anyone know the value of these. The serial number is 69D7879. Any help would be greatly appreciatated.

I had one for a while and lots of folks were interested.
From fairgrounds to private acreage people.

Mine was a 3 wheeled 2 stroke engine.
The starter doubled as a generator and as I recall,
the engine would run BACKwards for it to GO backwards, as in reverse.

It's been a while but it seems like the engine was off and press the gas pedal
to go either fwd or reverse.
and it would start and go in the chosen direction.
I honestly don't remember any neutral, per se.
Press the gas pedal and the engine starts and it goes either fwd or reverse,
let off the gas and the engine shuts off redy for the next command.
That is, of course, it's supposed to work that way. I really don't know but that's the way mine was.

Prices?
At least a grand, from what I see.
An electric cart that needs 500$ worth of batteries is like 500.
I'd do a little more snooping on prices and see what it would take to replace it.
I think you'll be surprized at how high the prices are.

I would've kept it but 3 wheelers are just so much more useful and versatile for us on this farm.
The electric ones are just too heavy for us and get stuck real easy.

Hope that helps.

I picked up a 1980 Yamaha cart in decent shape for $400. My buddy just got a 1965 Harley 3 wheeled cart in nice condition and runs great for $650. But I have also seen Junkers sell for almost $1000, it just depends on how bad someone wants it. Check out the web site, Buggies Gone Wild, there is some great cart info there. That's where I ended up for pointers when I first bought mine.
