Is this a bad thing? The back end shakes a little when pushed around.

Hello

Not as long as you just keep pushing it however I would strongly suggest properly repairing it before anyone rides it.

Yea you CAN keep riding it like that but I suggest buying new bearings (30 bucks) unless you have a swingarm then you might need swingarm pivot bearings(40 bucks). Anyways if you keep riding it like that you can actually wreck the housing that the bearings sit into. Not worth it, personally just buy some bearings, keep on riding it and swap them in a week when you'd get them. Your rear end doesn't sound to terrible..

Also you can wear your chain and sprockets out quicker this way.. like 50 to 60 bucks depending on what wheeler you have.

Good luck!

Well I own a 84' 200es. Do they make back bearings for them anymore?

Absolutely. Even if they appeared to be unavailable or tough to find, you can always cross-reference bearings and find the ones you need.

what exactly is loose? the swinger bearings? the axle carrier? The hubs? Any of those three being loose will cause major issues if you keep riding, if they are loose now they can fail completely and break things in a hurry when you start riding hard

Hello

Std bearings are never discontinued. Cross reference as Fabiodriven suggested if need be. They will have a number on them, simply go to a bearing/seal supply house and get them of need be. They are also available from link below.

200s has no swingarm, just a axle bearings, look on ebay $30 shipped all day long for new ones and seals. Replace go ride, my guess is they are factory ones and should not last 30 years lol.

Yea i didn't know he had a 200s, tried looking to see if i could check his machine. Well it can't be any worse then my 200M lol I ran it with bad bearings AND (i didn't know this at the time) the lock nuts on the axle were about an inch to the right so the axle was sliding left and right =/ luckily no damage.

I keep seeing 1984 200ES and 1984 200S referenced. Are they one and the same? Reason I ask- some online parts places only have the schematics for a 200S and show a rear axle with a sprocket and chain drive. I've got a 200ES and it definitely lacks chain drive.

The 200s and 200es are totally different machines. About the only thing they share is the same top end and maybe the front end...

200s is a chain driven hard-tail. Pull start, straight 5 speed tranny.

200es is a shaft driven, with e-start and reverse, hard-tail, 5 speed with hi-lo sub tranny....
