1986 yamaha 225dx

Found a yamaha 225dx not far from my home it's running but smokes..It looks to all be there except the rear flaps..For 165.00..Should I buy it? Any thoughts ? I'm a Honda guy but love all trikes..Any 225dx people out there? let me know

I have 2 I'm working on at the moment, haven't ridden them yet but they seem like they will be fun. Also thats a great price for a running bike.

Ya Ive Seen some Really bad ones go for a lot more then that. But if you plan on investing into it and restoring. And might need a set of rings or could just be valves. It might be worth it to you, and for price, its worth it!

Could be just needing a new carb....for that price I would be all over it. Can't go wrong.

That's a great deal, sounds like it needs new rings to me. I would buy that fast before someone else does. Mud flaps aren't a big deal. I have mine off on my dx and it looks alot cooler almost like a sport trike, if you get it, post up some pics of that bad boy

I'd buy it. I paid 150 each for two 84's in worse shape. I'd love to get an 86.
