Fuse is good, getting ground, stator seems to work fine, will turn over but no fire. Tried a few diffrent coils and nothing

Same as your other..'no fire' thread partner!!

Look at the on/off switch on the handlebar. Our 250es will turn over with that switch off, but we won't get any spark. I drove myself crazy trying to figure it out. Fortunately my brother came over and spotted it right away. He got a good laugh out of it...

If you are using the starter, try to kick it instead. Saw a few posts here lately with no spark or weak spark while using the electric start. Might be a weak/bad CDI box.

How do I test a cdi box?

According to this post, it is best to test everything else, unless you have a spare CDI laying around or that you can barrow from a friend. Stator and pickup coil should be within a range in Ohms when tested with a multimeter, details are given what the reading should be within the service manual.

Hello
Never had it runnin,
xxxxx
all connections good
How do you know that, it doesn’t have spark?
Did you test for continuity on both sides of the connections?
Xxxxx
Fuse is good,
Same as above.
xxxxx
getting ground,
Same as above
xxxxx
stator seems to work fine
Just EXACTLY how did you possibly determine this?
xxxxx
will turn over but no fire.
I’m guessing you mean there is no spark when plug is laid on the cylinder head and it is kicked over, is this correct?
xxxxx
Tried a few diffrent coils and nothing
Did you OHM test the original coil?
Were these coils designed to work with this type of system.
Are they known to be good or are you just guessing?

How do I test a cdi box?
Unless you OHM tested the original coil and stator there is no point in testing the CDI.
There may be a test procedure in the manual but it doesn’t help so in other words the way to test it is to install one from a known running bike or buy a new one if possible.
