This is just a minor rant, but here's a little bit of info about my city of Worcester, MA.

We're the biggest small city in the world. We're the second largest (or at least used to be) city by population in all of New England. The Mass Pike avoids us. We're sketchy. Mildly ghetto yet also with suburban rich areas.

Anyway. After a friend of mine was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend (who then shot and killed himself), we get to be the lucky city which gets to host the funeral for the Boston Bomber. I guess all other cities refused, and even though our people are protesting outside the funeral home non-stop, we have police sitting outside of it 24/7. We're paying for that. There's multiple cruisers, as well, so it's not just a single cop.

Now this happens, very close to where I live - as was the murder-suicide.

I guess they caught a fat pedophile who may have killed and eaten children. Or it may have just been his fantasies, but he had lots of kiddie porn and a rape dungeon with butchering knives.

"Federal court records said Mr. Portway, 40, had the sound-proofed dungeon for the purpose of abusing, torturing, murdering and cannibalizing children. There were no discussions in court about whether the United Kingdom native had any victims in the dungeon."

"When federal and local authorities executed a federal search warrant at Mr. Portway's West Side home on July 27, 2012, they seized computer equipment and discovered tens of thousands of images and videos showing children being raped and tortured. Some images showed dead children, federal documents said."

This along with the girls who found alive in a basement today or yesterday 10 years later - it all makes me realize it's a wonderful life.....Oh wait, no, it's not. We live in horrible times, and my city seems to be on lucky streak at a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro show.

That's all....

so sorry man.
Strange place in general.
It has so much history and stuff going for it but depressing in many ways.
Funny 'cause it wasn't too long ago I looked up Mrs Woo diner and Coney Island Hotdogs
and Spencer lake pictures.

I lived there for a few years in the 70's but the weather got the best of me and
I opted for RedwoodCity, CAlif.
'weather best by government test' specifically because of my experience in wusstah.

Take care mang.
Hope things get better.
