We decided instead of working on the used Z400 we bought to just go out and buy a new one.

Surprised the kid with it last Sat. That was fun.

Just how does the new one stack up against the old carbureted version? I had an 06 KFX 400 with a Pro Citrcuit Ti4 pipe and still think them and the Z400 are the best bang for the buck sport quads on the market and I imagine the updates added were just icing on the cake.

Good looking quad! I haven't ridden the EFI version but I owned my KFX for 8 years and it was a great quad. Only sold it to upgrade to a 450 last summer

We have an '07 Z400 that we bought used (and abused) the new one seems a little faster to respond to the throttle.
About the same otherwise.

Yea, I have ridden a few fuel injected quads and it seems throttle response is the major positive over a carburetor and the ability to change elevation without having to worry about your quad going rich or lean on the jetting.
