85 tri-z cylinder compression fitting

Well i Had my tri-z cylinder exchanged for a resleeved cylinder....the new one came and there is no 90* fitting at the base of the cylinder..Yamaha is clueless,its not the microfiche...Does anyone know where to get one and what the purpose of this is?

you do need that peice it goes to the vacum hose that runs your fuel pump
