Yamaha did not make a 200e Honda did. And it still didn't have reverce. Its probably a Honda 200es or a Yamaha 225dr. Does it have hi and low range also or just reverce? And does it act frozen up or just won't move once its in reverce?

Sure they did..they made several models of 200e. The one you have 'redneckswamp' is likely the 200ern Yamahauler..the only 200e model I am aware of that had reverse.

The yamaha 200 has to be in 1st gear in order for it to go into reverse. Hope that helps!

Do you mean it starts to move then kicks out, or the shifter goes in and pops out without even having it move? I have seen exactly one 200ERN, not very common around here for some reason probably because we used to have like three Honda dealers back in the day.. LOL

The one i have seen belongs to a guy i did some work for, we used it to haul some wood around on his farm, i always had trouble with reverse on it as well, but it would go into reverse then give it some gas and start to move then pop out, it would usually do that a couple times then stay in, never could figure out why.

wont even go in like it will go up so far and u can feel the shifter want to go in reverse but it wont, idk whats wrong with it, could there be a shifting problem with that or is there a special way to put in in reverse?

when i try and put it in and think its in il give it gas and it just revs but if i really pull on it , it will kick half way in reverse abit then kick out

Are you sure you are squeezing the red handle on the lever as you try to put it in reverse? Also there is an adjustment on
the linkage. Just back off the small nuts on both sides of the adjuster and then turn the adjuster accordingly.

I've had a bunch of these wheelers through the years and I've never had an issue with reverse, so I doubt it is anything
more than adjusting the linkage.

Here is a pic of the adjuster on the linkage I just took. I've marked the locking nuts in red and they need to be backed off
Before turning the adjuster that I marked in blue. Turn the adjuster accordingly.

The adjuster is also a nut, just a real long nut. I can't remember which way you will need to turn it, but turn it whichever way will make that linkage longer. Then just tighten up the locking nuts when you get it where you want it.
I really suspect this will get you in reverse!
