just discovered something really cool on craigslist.for those who dont already know that they've been missing out on alot of bikes on cl.on the main cl page under the my account part is the main search bar.ive already found 12 3 wheelers that werent showing on my normal barter/motorcycles search.some of these have to be typed in just like im showing you.atc,350x,200x etc.then after youve scanned through those you type three wheelers,3 wheelers,threewheelers,3wheelers.believe it or not using a space and not using a space will show different results because of how the people writng the ad spell it.just thought id share this because i litterally just found a 86 200x for 500 that had been on cl for 2 weeks and i hadnt found it.

EXcellent concept.

I found my favorite 250sx under barter for firewood.
Found a great 250es listed as "3 weller" makes for a great "quaad"
NO joke.
Search function only keys exactly what's written.

My webguy says it would be easy to have an email notice sent to us when keywords are posted but haven't seen it yet.

I also went to see a couple 250sx models, orig owner, bought together turned out to be 2 - 200 s models.
and one 250sx was listed as big red.
also saw a 90 that was listed as big red but I guess they though it looked big and red.

Hey, anyway we can find them is good.

this might also need to be in the cl/ebay section but idk for sure.

There are many Android apps that give you notifications when your saved keywords are posted.

I use a craigslist search engine, allofcraigs.com to find them here, i have had great luck with that because instead of searching each region i can search the entire state in about ten mins.

Sure would make life easier on all of us if people knew how to spell huh!! ;) Search engines might ACTUALLY yield results!

Same thing works on ebay. When i look for parts for my 84 250r i search:
1984 84 honda atc250r 250 r atc 250r
It gets way better results... Also for craigslist, searchtempest.com will search a specified radius from you city, as well as ebay all at once

Was that 250sx in Pasco? If so, I also checked it out.

I use search tempest and check my target categories daily (motorcycles, rv, and barter), then search very generic things like honda, wheeler, three, 3, 3-wheeler, etc. If I don't find much, some times i'll hit up some models, but normally if they put 200x in the listing, 3 wheeler, honda, or some other major keyword will already be in the listing.

Another thing that works great is to post a wanted listing for trashed, poor shape, basket case 3 wheelers, I had a pretty good turn out when I posted one, picked up a 2 wheel drive 350 utility quad that just needed a $100 part and smokes for $200 and several $50-200 3 wheelers. Plenty of blaster people trying to off load for $800-900 and caims it meets my description for my wanted ad because the chain needs adjustment.
